Dear Dan Mills Families and Supporters,
My heart is truly full this morning! I was just informed of what you’ve done for our community this holiday season. You have surpassed all previous years, nearly combined, for supporting our Dragons and their families through your participation in the Angel Tree program. In fact, you have made it possible for FIVE TIMES the number of families to be able to enjoy Christmas this year!
In one of the most challenging years in history for all of us, your generosity has enabled families to truly focus on the joy of the season. Parents who have struggled to figure out exactly how Christmas could still come for their families, despite financial challenges, unemployment, or other factors, have had that burden lifted. YOU did that! Think about that for a moment…you have shared more than just toys and clothes: you have brought peace to many parents and families who have worried how they will be able to celebrate their families. That gift of peace is the best gift of all in a year like 2020!
I am continuously in awe of our Dan Mills families and their continued commitment to ensure that all Dragons have what they need to succeed and prosper. As the school principal, I have the privilege of seeing this unfold behind the scenes and to truly know and understand how much you all support one another. It is a joy to behold and an honor to be a part of this community. You lift me as much as you lift each other.
On behalf of the Dan Mills faculty and staff, please accept our sincere appreciation for your tremendous outpouring of love, support, and generosity for our families this year. We wish you and your family the happiest of holidays, the merriest of Christmases, and the best and brightest for all of you in 2021.
With sincere admiration,
Robby Yates
