The first day of Spring Break is a half day for kiddos, there will be early dismissal.

Inviting all Dragons with IEPs, 504s, and/or disabilities and their families to gather September 5th at the Dan Mills playground for pizza and popsicles!
This is an opportunity to connect our exceptional education community to share information and resources while cultivating relationships among students and families.
Meet up with other Dragon Parents and Guardians in front of school after drop-off this Friday (and most every Friday!) to help out with teacher projects such as photocopying, laminating, sorting handouts, and sharpening pencils. Stay as little or as long as you are able - every bit helps!
Come to the 3rd through 5th grade Open House on the 22nd of August. There will be two identical information sessions for Dragon Parents and Guardians to choose from:

Join the PTO this Friday, and most (if not every) Friday, right after drop-off to help pitch in with teacher projects. We gather in front of school or by the picnic bench near the school entry and work for just as long as everyone is available. If you have 15 minutes, come meet some other parents! If you have an hour, stick around and we will put you to work. Anything in the middle? Please, join us! We would love to meet you.
Projects are anything that help out our teachers or the administration, and can range from sorting class handouts, sharpening pencils, laminating, coloring teaching aids, etc. It’s a fun way to connect and help out.

Stay tuned for opportunities to sign-up to volunteer at Field Day, one of the most fun days of the school year. Kiddos will get to play in a variety of ways: bouncy houses, three-legged races, fun competitions, and more. There will be snacks for sale that your Dragons can purchase if they come with a few dollars to spend. Check back here and ask your Room Parent for more details.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, there are many ways to show your gratitude towards the whole DMES team that helps our kiddos thrive! Your Room Parent(s) may have ideas or classroom plans, and you can choose to participate in several of the scheduled activities below:
Monday, May 6th - Breakfast for Staff provided by the Dan Mills PTO
Tuesday, May 7th - Teacher’s Favorite Things (click here or at the left navigation)
Wednesday, May 8th - Java Breeze coffee and Smoothies will be brought for staff
Thursday, May 9th - Bring a note of affirmation to school as an affirmation and thank you for your teachers this year.
Friday, May 10th - Happy Cart still has slots available. Sign-up to donate baked goodies that staff and teachers can treat themselves to throughout the day.
