I am the parent of a new DMES graduate who has started middle school this year, a second grader, and also a PreK student who will come to Dan Mills next year (hopefully in-person!!) I am excited and honored to serve our parents, teachers and students in this way in this totally unprecedented year! I want to show our new Dragons the love and community of our school, even in such a strange season, and to foster the amazing characteristics that our school leaders and teachers build in our students each and every day. I look forward to making our appreciation well-known for all that administration, staff and teachers are doing to support us all...let's all make each day count!

I have a fourth grader named Oliver (in Ms. Jo's homeroom).

This is my swan song year. My oldest, Teddy, is an eighth grader at Litton but also went K-4 at Dan Mills. We have loved our school community for a long time now and I am trying to give a little something back by serving on the board. It's a bittersweet moment with both boys moving on from their respective schools after this year but we have made amazing friends and memories along the way! Who knows what this crazy year holds for us but I know that we can get through it together!

I have a daughter in 3rd grade at Dan Mills and a son who is a Dan Mills alum (and now a 6th grader at Head Middle Magnet). I have served as the Treasurer of the PTO for the past three years. I am looking forward to serving on the PTO in a broader capacity this year as we all navigate the challenges the year will surely present. I have been proud to serve on the PTO which consists of an amazing group of people that work alongside and support the administration, teachers and students of our fabulous elementary school!

I am a bilingual singer-songwriter, teaching artist, entrepreneur. I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years. I’m the mother of Luca, a Dan Mills 1st grader, and Sofia who is a 5th grader and Meigs Middle Magnet School. I’m originally from Michigan, and have lived in Nashville for 20 years. I am the Founder and Creator of “Songs for My Little Amigos”, a Bilingual Music & Movement Program. When I’m not working, I love spending time with friends, traveling, playing my autoharp, and taking string lessons with my kiddos. My passion is building community and celebrating culture through music…building community and celebrating culture is also my reason for serving on the PTO board.

I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on the Dan Mills PTO Board for the 2020-2021 school year because I truly believe that information is power. I look forward to working closely with the Communications Committee to share information from the PTO Board, Dan Mills, and MNPS with our Dragon community. Keeping all Dragons and their families connected is more important than ever this year! Staying connected means not only sharing the crucial information but also all the fun that happens at Dan Mills! I am also the proud parent of a first grader at Dan Mills (Go Nebula!)! I'm excited to get to know more Dan Mills families this year and to support you, our teachers, and administrators.

I am excited to help out with the PTO this year, and hope to help bring some sense of normalcy to this very different school year. I have had children at Dan Mills consistently for over 9 years now! I love that we get to be superheroes that get to step up to assist teachers and families.

I am the parent of two daughters who are in the 2nd grade and Kindergarten. I’m running for PTO Treasurer because I gained necessary experience for the job as the Incoming Treasurer last year; and I want to do everything I can to better support Dan Mills teachers, staff and children.
